Are video games art?

I frequent collegehumor.com quite a bit. I mostly go to find random, funny videos because I am easily amused (obviously). Anyway, I came across this video that asks the age old question: Are ______ art? In this case, are video games art?

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

I have been trying to find the time to completely play through the new Call of Juarez. I decided to give a little post of what my thoughts have been so far about the game.

First thing’s first: this game doesn’t do anything different then what you would expect from a shooter. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It centers around its main character, Silas Greaves, who recounts his history of bounty hunting real iconic wild west criminals. This game is highly enjoyable. The gameplay is quick and easy and doesn’t use any fancy tricks. Being a big western fan I enjoy playing any game in this setting and Call of Juarez is just that.

So if you are looking for just a fun game to go through and at 14.99 I can say there is some fun to be had here.

The Last of Us – Story Trailer

I know this story trailer has been floating around the interwebs from quite some time and while this is totally my boyfriend’s realm, I felt it necessary to share my excitement for this game. I’m not a huge gamer. I’m what I like to call a “selective gamer”. I like what I like and I like this. I won’t say much more, just watch the trailer and visit http://www.thelastofus.com/ for more awesome info!
